When flower beds start washing out after every rain, that's not just a landscaping problem - it's a drainage problem. Water with nowhere to go will find its own path, and that path usually runs straight through your beds, along your foundation, and into places you really don't want it.
Here's what we were working with on this one: a brick ranch-style home with large mature trees overhead and no gutters to speak of. Every time it rained, runoff was sheeting off the roofline and landing wherever it wanted. The flower beds were taking a beating and the foundation wasn't far behind.
We installed 83 feet of royal brown gutters along the roofline. The color match to the existing trim and fascia is clean - it looks like it was always there, not like an afterthought bolted on later. Downspouts are positioned to carry water away from the foundation and landscaping, which is exactly where it needs to go.
That's really what a solid gutter installation does. It takes something unpredictable - rainwater - and gives it a controlled path off your roof and away from your home. No more erosion, no more standing water pooling against the brick, no more washed-out beds.
Gutters don't get a lot of attention until something goes wrong. But getting ahead of drainage issues is almost always cheaper and simpler than dealing with foundation repairs or replanting landscaping season after season.
