New construction is exciting. But once the framing is up, the roof is on, and the exterior is coming together, a lot of homeowners don't think about gutters until it's too late. The truth is, getting gutters installed early - before the grading around the home settles and before the first heavy rain hits - is one of the smartest moves you can make to protect everything you just built.
That's exactly what we did here. This is a sharp new build with a metal standing seam roof, board-and-batten siding, and a screened porch running along the length of the structure. A really clean setup. Our job was to get a proper gutter system in place so that all that roofline has somewhere to send the water - away from the foundation, away from the skirting, and away from the finished exterior.
We went with black gutters and downspouts to match the dark exterior. It's a small detail, but it matters. When the color is right, gutters stop looking like an afterthought and start looking like part of the design. The downspouts are positioned to move water well clear of the structure, which on a new build with fresh ground around it is really important.
Without gutters, a new home starts absorbing damage from day one. Rainwater running off an uncontrolled roofline will erode soil around the foundation, splash back against siding and skirting, and create moisture problems that compound over time. Getting it done right from the start is just a whole lot cheaper than fixing those issues later.
We love working on new builds because we get to set the home up properly from the beginning. No patching, no retrofitting around existing damage - just clean, solid work from scratch. If you're finishing up a new build and need gutters done right, we're ready to help.
